Shamantha Krishna K G is a Software Engineer 2 at Juniper Networks with over 3 years of relevant experience. He is currently working on Timing features for Juniper's Next Generation MX10k8 Platform, specifically on BITS/PTP Hybrid (G.8275.1) profile. Shamantha is passionate about learning and sharing his knowledge with others. He is particularly interested in Linux internals. In his previous role as a Software Engineer 1 at Juniper Networks, Shamantha worked on Timing features (PTPoE over LAG) for Juniper's Next Generation MX10k8 Platform. He also developed XDEBUG, a tool to debug Linecard (PFE) cores, and an efficient way to debug corefiles as the user can get the corefile information by executing Juniper CLI commands on the corefile. Shamantha also worked on reducing the memory footprint on EX2300, EX3400 switches and solved some of the critical customer issues. As a Software Engineering Intern at Juniper Networks, Shamantha worked on a POC where they were trying to run Juniper's Next Generation Operating System - Junos Evo as a container on Open Network Linux (ONL) based Boxes. He was also responsible for the overall packaging for the project. Shamantha holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysuru. He completed his PUC (Class 12) in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) from Sri Sai Angels Pre University College and his SSLC (Class 10) from St. Joseph's High School, Chikkamagaluru. Shamantha is proficient in Software Engineering and has a deep understanding of Linux internals. He is a quick learner and enjoys working on challenging projects. His dedication and passion for his work make him an asset to any team he is a part of.
